Lazy Sunday

Very lazy Sunday

Desperately waiting for the sun and the temperature to rise. I'm really not in the mood to get dressed today. I love dressing down in the weekend but I refuse to look like a slob.
There is a fine line between casual and still cool,
and looking like you're just pain hungover....

20120615 What a lovely week

This was a most fabulous inspiring week. Check out my diary.

From shopping at Maison NL at the Utrechtsestraat, you should really pay them a visit, they have lots of beautiful things for the home and great gifts. I bought myself a lovely notebook for lovely new ideas.

Some creative craftsmanship projects finished and still under construction, results will be shown soon off course!

I got a pair of striped espadrilles just like on my wishlist, no Chanel, but I might add a double C myself ;-)...

To top it all of a sunny day down south with my love. Shopping, strolling, laughing and great cocktails on the shore of the Maas at sunset.

CHEERS BIG EARS!

Early Fall 012 inspiration

As it is so damn cold in Amsterdam, just 15 degrees today,
I have some really early FALL outfit inspiration.
I love the simplicity of the black coat and slouchy jeans, but the really hot red pumps add some spice to the look.

Let's all hope we first do get a bit (or a lot) more summer before fall really comes.

DIY floral pants

To update the look of this silk floral trouser, I decided to give it a little make over.

I wanted to make the top darker to reduce the see-though and be able
to wear it more often.

This is how I did it:
 1. Put the trousers on and see till how far you want the dyeing effect,
I choose just below the knee, and add a little safety pin at that point.

2. Attach the trouser up side down at a hanger,
and hang it over the sink or bucket you will be using.

3. Check how you should position it to get the color where you want.

4. Follow the instructions on the package. Add more water to reduce the color. Instead of 6 liter I used 8 to make sure you can still see the flowers.

5. 1/2 way during the time, place the hanger a little higher to make the color more faded.

6. Rinse very carefully and wash by hand after.
Let it dry and have fun wearing it more often.

Outfit of today 20120517

SUMMER color popping

This week I was supposed to buy myself an sensible sporting outfit, yes yoga really is a sport. And you need a proper outfit when doing it.
But something went wrong and I got distracted by these fabulous shoes at H&M. Walking in them is considered a sport I told myself when wiping my card trough.
Today I was wearing them for the first time with my straight leg jeans (Maison Scotch) and bright pink shirt ( by Second Female). The necklace was a present from Hamburg and the ring is custom made for me by jewelery designer Yukee Chen.

WISHLIST #1

These espadrilles from CHANEL just entered my wish list
right at the top.
WOW they are so fun and cute and I would be walking on clouds
with these baby's on my feet. They are also available in grey and creme color,
but these red once would make any look pop.
Feel free to send me a pair, size 39 ;-)
