SWEATER WEATHER

I'm obsessed with sweaters these day's, you can never have enough of them as they come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Best are the bright ones that make a statement and I love to add a personal touch by adding a little something to make the look complete.

This bright pink boxy shape sweater from ZARA is one of my seasons favorites.
By letting a lace top peep out it adds a bit of sexy to this oversized sweater and the scarf necklace gives it a playful edge.

This chunky sweater from Just in Case matches best with a feminine floral blouse
with gold collar tips from ZARA
Love to play with contrast and patterns, to keep it interesting.

This minty angora sweater from Selected Femme, does not need a lot, just a bold black shiny necklace to keep it from being too sweet and cute.

Goes best with ripped boyfriend jeans, of even a leather legging for a tough touch.

Bold stripes in contrast colors on this hand-knit chuncky number, also from Just in Case,  stands out from itself.
But to give it a personal Judy-tough, I still like to add something extra by adding a little leopard print top in matching colors from Topshop.

True Blue

TRUE BLUE, baby I love you!

Last few weeks have been crazy filled with one fashion week after another.
Browsing trough the street style shots taken outside all the shows, I noticed a lot of BLUE popping up.

It's a great way to add some color to your winter wardrobe and update it for early spring.
Get in the mood for some sunshine with a pop of bright cobalt blue.

Be daring and go all blue all the way, or add a print of statement piece to your outfit.
A bag or glasses can also do the trick.
Take your pick!

Keep your head up

Fur hats are really trendy this cold season, and with these snowy and icy days,
also a great practicality to add to your look.

Go big or keep it modest, in beige, brown, black or stripes.
Great look for tough cookies or a romantic boho chic look.

All Black

ALL BLACK

I love wearing color, don't get me wrong, but during the winter
I love the mysterious black.
Wearing all black might sound easy, as you do not have any problem
with clashing colors or patterns.
But we want to keep is fashionable and interesting as well.

Black is in fashion all year every year, but it seems this winter it's hotter then ever.
Covers of magazines like VOQUE, HUNGER and L'OFFICIEL have all featured in black
these last months. Black is always a popular color for fashionistas everywhere,
as you can't go wrong it seams.
But in wearing black in an interesting way and not look like any other, lies the trick.

This season it is all black, but you have to mix it up.
Combine textures, fabrics, shapes, layer and add the right accessory's.

See some great looks and get inspired to spice up your perfect look in ALL BLACK!

Sexy leather skirt with oversized sweater, for a balanced look.

With gold statement belt and cuffs, clean look.

Nice oversized, but showing some skin to keep it sexy.

Leather skinny pants with big volumed feather coat.

Night sky pattern and eye catching bag.

Velvet smoking blazer, gold detailed skirt with big chain necklace.

Oversized sweater with black sequence and lovely CELINE bag.

Chunky knit and a little pop of color.

Bag it up

So I got this new camera and I wanted to start carrying it around with me.
But as I'm a bit clumsy this baby would need some serious protection.
No leather casing available for this type, I wondered if I would be doomed
to use a "not so very charming, to say the least" touristy kind of bag....

I figured to give it a try to see if I could produce a better option.
I found an old leather shoulder bag, that could be perfect with some shape adjustments.

As this baby has a thin body and longer lens then average,
I would need to shape the case around it.

This leather, long strapped bag looks good in size, and will do the trick.

I took apart the bag by opening the side seams and folded it open.
Draw around the camera on paper to get your pattern.
Don't forget it needs a top and a bottom part, you can just draw it one time and flip around,
as the lens is not centered.

Then you cut out all the parts from the leather adding some extra space for your seams.
I used an old jersey scarf to add some lining for extra protection on the inside.
Make sure to use strong yarn and a sharp needle, I did it by hand a no sewing machine available. Sew all parts together in-side-out.

If you turn it with the goods side out, check if all the seams are closed properly or if you mist a part. I added the strap of the bag on the edge
to wrap around the camera to keep it all in place.

And you got yourself an unique and perfectly fitted camera bag.
Ready to go!
